Application Process
The application and intake process for participation in the Samaritan Works programs, both residential and those we offer outside the sober living homes, is designed to be easy and comfortable for you, while giving Samaritan Works the ability to gauge your willingness to participate to the fullest and your intentions.
During an initial phone screening, we will gather some basic information and get an initial view of your plans for sober living. After that phone call, we will look at factors like your background, your truthfulness and assess how we can best serve you. After the initial phone interview, you will be contacted (normally within a day or two at most) and asked to come to our offices for an in-person interview. If you are currently incarcerated or in an in-patient treatment program, we'll set it up to do the face-to-face interview via Zoom or another online platform. At your in-person interview, we will spend some more time getting to know you and allowing you to get to know us and the innerworkings of the residential program. A decision will then be made on admission and a date will be set for your enrollment in our services. Truthfulness is of the utmost importance. There is very little you can tell us that we probably haven't heard before. Don't be bashful or ashamed - we don't judge. Just be honest. Automatic disqualifiers: Current use of Suboxone, Methadone or medical marijuana; convictions of a sex offense; convictions of arson or arson-related charges; some convictions involving firearms (determined on a case-by-case basis).
