PRESS RELEASE
Samaritan Works is excited to announce the purchase of a vehicle to add to the services they can provide to their residents! Often when people come into our sober living homes for the first time, they do not have transportation. New residents in our program must get to doctor, court, and therapy appointments. They must navigate through the process of obtaining birth certificates, social security cards, and other needed documentation to begin to go back to work. For many in the first weeks of sobriety, the lack of transportation creates a huge barrier to putting their lives back together. Thanks to the Community Foundation of Shelby County, and their generous grant award, Samaritan Works will now be able help individuals living in their sober living homes break down this barrier. This vehicle will also be used for trips with residents to sober events around the area, adding value to the journey towards a life free from addiction. This vehicle was purchased locally in Sidney Ohio, and Samaritan Works is thankful for the work and assistance provided by Brad Gutman at Germain Ford. “We are blessed beyond words for the support and generosity of this community.” says Tricia Anderson, Executive Director. Thank you for helping in
